Gain expert guidance on crafting the perfect piece of writing and walk away with a finished work that’s ready for the world!
We begin with “Develop,” an hour dedicated to foundational skills for starting a new piece. Next comes “Refine,” focusing on honing and polishing your work. We finish with “Present,” covering the art of presenting your words aloud.
Suitable for adults and VCE students.

Sarah Hart
Writing Workshop for Young People Presenter

Sarah is a Ballarat-based writer, artist and academic. She has had work published in multiple anthologies and journals, and exhibited widely. She is an active advocate for the LGBTIQA+ community and believes queer culture has a lot to offer creatives of all persuasions.

JC Rycroft
Writing Masterclass 'Develop' Presenter

JC's work draws on high and epic fantasy tropes, mixed with a dollop of queer romance, flawed but fabulous feminist heroes, and a sprinkling of philosophical concepts. She loves bringing together apparent contradictions: high theory and silliness, profound political concerns with a rollicking good story, and ordinary people with unexpected demands to heroism.

Lilian Hudson
Writing Masterclass
'Refine' Presenter

Lilian is an ardent and joyful theatremaker with a love of contemporary Australian works. Their recent projects include N for Nannerl, a historical adaptation of the life of Nannerl Mozart; and Day/Night, an exploration of the working world of young adults that premiered at the 2025 Melbourne Monologue festival.

Maddi Ostapiw
Writing Masterclass
'Present' Presenter

Maddi is a Horsham local with a history of working with the local LGBTQIA+ community and performing arts community.
